Mechanical Service Switchboards
Mechanical Service Switchboards (MSSB) are typically used to power and control Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems within buildings across Australia.
Similar to control panels, these systems have a single point of power distribution and usually include devices such as circuit breakers, switches, motor starters, proprietary controllers, relays and other controls. These components allow the switchboard to control electrical power to different parts of the buildings heating, cooling and ventilation equipment and sensors.
Customised to the specification of your site or building's infrastructure, we work closely with you and your engineers to design and manufacture an MSSB to help you power your day-to-day operations. Complete with a simple operator interface and controls, our Mechanical Service Switchboards provide you with unrivaled control over the efficiency and safety of your power distribution.

Mechanical Service Switchboard Manufacture
Once all stakeholders are happy with the design drawings and specifications, the next process involves passing on the designs to our assemblers, fitters, and electricians in our dedicated in-house manufacturing facility.
Independent of any supplier, we procure all the required parts and components from a selection of Australia's largest suppliers, including Schneider and NHP, among others. Our independent approach allows us to be agile in the market, sourcing only the highest-quality parts (compliant with AS/NZA 61439), with the best lead times and at the best price.
We then allocate a lead electrician to manage the assembly and construction of your Mechanical Service Switchboard. They ensure that the MSSB is constructed to the exact specifications of the approved drawings, consulting closely with the main designer on any queries to ensure complete accuracy.
Our experienced team then installs the various components from busbars to control devices, before our electricians complete all of the necessary wiring and connections. Each MSSB is then put through its paces under standard and adverse conditions, a crucial step that validates the product's reliability, safety, and AS/NZA 61439 compliance before it leaves our facility.
Following the completion of our extensive factory testing on your custom-built Mechanical Service Switchboard, it is prepared for you to pick up from our base in Winnellie, Darwin. We carefully package your MSSB for transport along with detailed installation instructions, ensuring seamless integration with your mechanical systems.
